Free-recycle is a message board facility where you can post details of unwanted items which you wish to give away for free. If you have a particular item which you need you can also post asking if anyone has one they no longer want. Free-recycle covers an area bordered by Gairloch to the North, Strathcarron to the South, Applecross to the West and Achnasheen to the East. The items posted on Free-recycle must be free, please do not post information about items for sale. ________________________________________________________________________ How to use Free-recycle - it is easy...just have a go..... 1 Scroll to the bottom of this page & fill in the boxes to use this message board. Post details of items you wish to get rid of or items you would like to receive. Tip - you may want to print/note these instructions to refer to or open the website in a 2nd window. When you press the "add a new message" button you are taken away from the instructions & we have not figured a way around that! 2 Use the 'subject' field to clearly state whether the item is "Wanted", "Giving Away". or "Received Thanks", perhaps putting what you are talking about in the title e.g Wanted - paper shredder. 3 In the 'comments' field please enter further details about the item e.g. the make and model if possible, and what condition it is in/what condition you would like it be in ie 'in good working order' or , 'in need of repair'. If you are posting unwanted items please be honest about it's condition - someone may just want it for spares! State the area that you live in at the bottom of the comments field so that other users can decide if they are willing to travel the distance to collect it. 4 Leave your contact email address. Please be aware of personal security issues. You may not want to give your full home adress or telephone number in your initial post and save this for a private email. Clicking the persons name in a post, will take you to that persons email address for items you interested in. 5 Others can now make contact with you directly. Please respond as swiftly as possible to enquiries. It is up to you to make arrangements regarding viewing/collecting the item/s. West Coast Reducers are not involved in this. 6 When an item has changed hands it is important to post again on the message board to ensure that visitors to the site realise the item is no longer available or required. The recipient of a free-recycle item should post 'Received' and then the description of the item, in the subject field. 7 The message board is currently unmoderated. Please help us by ensuring that all content is appropriate and relevant to the aims of Free-Recycle i.e. messages about free items only. Happy Free-Recycling!
WANTED baby gate Has anyone an old baby gate? My 18-year-old cat is having problems jumping onto raised area where her food is, out of reach of the dog. I need a baby gate to put across the door that will stop the dog but which has vertical bars spaced widely enough for the cat to get through. Current regulations stipulate they should be no more than 5.5 cm (2 3/8 in) apart, and thin though my cat is, she's not that thin! I'm in Applecross, but could drop off in Shieldaig, Lochcarron or Torridon, or maybe arrange for it to be taken further north. Posted by Alison Macleod on 01 February 2012 Printer Ink I have 4 colour 4 Black (Compatible)they will fit Epson 440 or others Offering Printer cartridges I have 7 colour and 7 black cartidges from my previous Canon Pixma printer and that are suitable for various Canon and Apple printers (see below) and dated for use before August 2012. They are presently listed as "Compatible Canon BCI-21 Black Inkjet Cartridge". I would be very happy to find a home for them.
