Reasons to come along:

How much money do you spend per month on chemical cleaning products?

Have you ever looked closely at the list of chemicals on the back of any cleaning product?

Do you want to save money and our environments by using natural cleaning products.

The average home has 63 hazardous products - just look in the kitchen and bathroom cabinets and have a quick count! Given that we absorb 60% of what we put on our skin through our skin can we trust that the cocktail of chemicals put together by the manufacturers will not harm us? Do they put our health over profit?

Conventional cleaning chemicals pollute your home environment and the water systems they are rinsed into.

The air quality indoors can actually be toxic, with some studies demonstrating that women who stay at home have higher cancer rates than those who go out to work. We are brianwashed by adverts into believing that our homes are not clean unless we have used x,y and z chemicals - especially bleach! That they have to smell of chemicals to believe we have done the job properly.

We are actually using hazardous chemicals to clean away dirt. These then end up down the plug hole to be come a problem for the water authorities to treat and ultimately get washed out to sea. The cost of treating (where treatable) comes back to us as householders as part of our water bills. As we are seeing marine life in the Arctic now have levels of carcinogenic chemicals that threatens their futures.

Not a pretty picture? There are easy alternatives.

Finish up the stock of cleaning chemicals you have indoors and instead of just replacing with more, start to build up a stock of people and environment friendly materials.
